As a traveller, you may bring medicines into Sweden for your own personal medical use. Please note that there are restrictions on the quantity of medicines you may bring with you.
For prescription medicines, you may be asked to provide documentation showing that the medicine has been prescribed to you, such as:
- a pharmacy label on the medicine packaging showing your name
Special rules apply to narcotic medicinal products. The requirements and permitted quantities depend on:
- your country of residence
Medicines prescribed for animalsIf you are travelling with a pet, you may bring medicines that have been prescribed by a veterinarian for your pet. However, narcotic medicinal products prescribed for animals may not be brought into Sweden.
